The 1000 V3 boot was developed with the help of GP riders and a team of doctors. The Puma 1000 V3 is a pro-level race boot suited for any kind of road-racing due to its improved safety components.
The patented “Ghost Doctor” protection device has been designed after the medically defined ’angles of no return’ beyond which you would suffer from serious ankle injury. It allows you your full range of natural movement in all four directions and only becomes active when the ankle reaches a dangerous angle… Very cool stuff!!!
A small cushioning structure is built into the lower portion of the boot to provide vertical impact protection in the event of a high speed crash. Additional comfort zone areas in the shin and calf are constructed from mesh and foam padding for that extra snug fit.

- Increased Protection = The Exo Low has a 360-degree cockpit construction that wraps under the heel, maximizing stability and increasing lateral impact protection
- Improved Cushioning = A small cushioning structure is built into the lower portion of the Exo Low to provide vertical impact protection in the event of a highside crash
- Supremely protective, flexible and comfortable design allowing maximum “feel / feedback” through the sole of the boot due to it’s “hinged cuff” which allows the sole of the boot to remain flat on your peg (giving you feel and notice of what’s happening to your bike) whilst the top half of the boot allows you to freely “hang off” your bike without “lifting” the sole of the boot.
- “Set and Forgot” Quick release buckle allows you to get the buckle undone quickly and retains the last used position, saving you time when getting the boots back on
- Internal “drawstring” cord allows you to maximize how much you lock your heel down
- External shin protection wraps around to cover calf and is shaped to dissipate impact energy across the entire surface while ensuring ease of movement and compact profile
- Technical lightweight sole features a specific rubber compound which gives excellent grip and feel while allowing natural flex as the rider changes position and pressure on the foot peg
- Special light weight toe shifter gives feel and protection for changing gear and preventing pinching over the toes
- Replaceable reinforced toe slider give great feel and protects the outer toe box structure from abrasion

The Puma 1000 boots are the top of the line pro race boot. They are very difficult to get on and off the first half a dozen times (remember the easy they go on, the easier they come off in the event of a bad fall) until you have worn them in.
